• D Seright (they/them)

Hi, I am so delighted you found your way here.

A little about me – I am a white, queer, genderqueer, afab, neuroqueer (AuDHD) licensed masters-level clinician (LMFT). I grew up in rural New Mexico and have spent my adult life living in urban areas in the US including New York City, Oakland, and Portland. My own experiences of growing up in a neurodivergent family with addiction and mental health challenges, struggling with my own mental health, and coming out (again and again) led me to this work. I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent people in living their best, most liberated lives. I work from a liberation philosophy and am fat-affirming, polyamory/kink/BDSM-informed, supportive of sex-workers, affirming of Asexual/Aromantic identities, and I also believe strongly that self-identification is valid.

Below is a little about my professional training and experience:

    Formal Education and Training.

I have a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I am trained and licensed to provide psychological assessment/diagnosis and individual/relationship/group therapy. In addition, I have post-graduate training in transgender healthcare, substance use/recovery counseling, and autistic/ADHD experience.

    Professional Experience.

I began working in the mental health field in 2010 and have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient services, college counseling, residential treatment, private practice, and community-based programs in the states of California, Oregon, and New York. My experience has been with youth and adults living with challenges such as trauma, homelessness, work/educational stress, difficulties in relationships, neurodivergent burnout, coming out as LGBTQQIA2+, and suffering caused by oppression. The primary focus of my work in recent years has been on supporting neurodivergent adults, and my work with Adult Autism Assessment & Services is in assessment.

    License.

I am licensed under my legal name, Lydia Dean Seright, as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Oregon (#T1013) and California (#90476). I provide autism assessment services to clients who are physically located in the states of Oregon or California at the time of service.
